Nia

Nia started out as an important character to the story, and now Craig has considered ending his friendship with her "a Shift". How do you think his feelings have evolved, why? Was she ever an important character to the story, and is this "Shift" important?

  1. I think that Nia is an important character, both to Craig and to the story as a whole. Craig just sees her differently after he starts seeing the world differently. Yes, she was there for him in the real world, but their relationship was always a Tentacle to Craig. He only noticed how big of a relief it was to cut off that Tentacle after he had done so.

  2. Yeah, quite honestly I found her annoying and shallow. She never gave Craig a chance and just added to his tentacles by not only dating his best friend but being selfish and taking credit for his attempted suicide. She erks me.

  3. WOAH. She erks me even more after that scene in the hospital! How bad did you feel for Noelle then? And then there was the way they said goodbye: basically, "I enjoyed making out with you, but I don't like you as a person". How's that for cutting off a Tentacle? That was the perfect twist to their relationship, and I think Craig really needed it. Noelle is so much better for him.

  4. I agree. She understands how Craig feels yet makes it even worse. Noelle understands how he feels and tries to make him better. It's such a contrast of character.
